The last few weeks have flow by and now it is time to leave for the airport. This week has been crazy trying to tie up all the loose ends, ending accounts, changing addresses, etc. I think it is all done now. Haven't even had time to post.

Better go finish packing and head out to the airport.

This is the plan in brief.

Finish up work today. Spend the rest of this week moving out of our house and finish off catching up with friends, see Ep II, etc.

Next week we hang out with our families and get ready to leave the country...

First up, head to Singapore. Stay in Singapore for about a week then travel up through Malaysia to Thailand, spending a month in each.

Stop in Hong Kong for 2 days on our way to Japan. Stay in Japan for 2 weeks including hopefully visiting Brad and Marcel.

Head over to the UK where we will sojourn in London for 4 or 5 months, working and hopefully replenishing our cash stash. At some point travel to Europe, including Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and hopefully to Germany to see Adam and Jas.

Our 'One World' ticket brings us back through the USA, so we will spend 2 or 3 weeks there, visiting New York, New Jersey, Washington and San Francisco. The ticket has a 1 year life, so we will be heading back through the US to Oz about this time next year.

Whoa.

This site has been created as an alternative to bombarding our friends with group emails from the road. Instead of having a big, fat email arrive when you don't want it to, you can come and browse this site when (or if) you want to. If you want to get a notification email when a new entry goes up, let me know.

We will still be sending emails too, but they will probably be more personal than the content on this site. Those of our friends who don't have web access at work, we won't neglect you.

This site is a 'blog' (web log) so once set up its just as easy to post to this as it is to send an email from Hotmail.

I'm not too sure how often we will be able to post. From time to time we will probably do long entries, but when we are feeding change into a computer in a grubby hostel somewhere, they will probably be really short.

In some cases posts will be long, and only the first bit will be displayed on the main page. Click on the 'more...' link to view the whole entry.

Hopefully I will be able to occasionaly post photos too. Seeing I don't have a digital camera (yet) this might not be too frequently. I'd also like to put up some entries from my sketch book, but that will require access to a scanner, so they will probably appear less frequently.

Most of the posts should have a Comment option. Feel free to post a comment, I'd love to read them. Even if its just to say hello.

You will also be able to sort through our posts by category, date, month, etc.
